The National Monuments Service's description
Excavated in 2006 in advance of the N9/N10 Waterford to Kilcullen Road Scheme (Excavation licence no. E3005). One of two parallel rectangular houses (see KK036-067----), both orientated NE-SW, and c. 4m apart The houses were cut by a large boundary ditch (KK036-070----). The NW house (c. 13.1m x 7m) was constructed with much shallower foundation trenches than the adjacent house. There was no evidence of the fourth wall to the SW but a shallow foundation trench might not have survived there. A number of internal linear and post-hole features may have represented some form of internal division. The earliest radiocarbon date for this house was 4227-3970 cal BC (UBA-14159). One of four small pits (KK036-069----) to the NE of the house was radiocarbon dated to 753-413 cal BC (UBA-14156). (McKinstry 2009, 260, no. 1019; 2010)
