The National Monuments Service's description

On a pronounced knoll, on a terrace on the E slopes of Kilmacoliver Hill, overlooking a small river valley. The river, located c. 70m to the E, flows S to join the Pil River. The knoll may be entirely natural or could have been augmented to accommodate the cist. The cist was uncovered during ploughing in October 2022.
A roughly rectangular stone-lined cist (L 0.4-0.55m; Wth 0.37-0.5m; D 0.31-0.34m) with long axis aligned NW-SE. The four sides of the cist are formed with single slabs set on edge, while a slender upright stone fills a small gap in the S corner. The slabs are conglomerate except the NE side, which appears to be slate. At the SE end and S corner two thin stones over sail the edge of the cist and presumably supported a capstone, however, all evidence for the former roof is now missing.
