The National Monuments Service's description
On the E-facing slope of a ridge in good grassland, c. 30m E of a church (KK033-032001-) and graveyard (KK033-032002-). Listed in the RMP (1996) as ‘Castle, site’. Carrigan (1905, 126) noted the foundations of a castle in the interior of a large ‘rath’ (see possible ecclesiastical enclosure KK033-031001-). On inspection in 1989 a raised area (max. dims. 12m N-S; 10m E-W) was noted in the S quadrant of the possible ecclesiastical enclosure.
