The National Monuments Service's description

On Brandon Hill. According to Shearman (1876-8, 195-6), ‘The summit of the hill is crowned by a large cairn [KK029-032001-]; on the northern side is a circle of standing stones [KK029-032002-], about 15 yards in diameter, and on the south slope is a smaller circle [KK029-041001-] and a mound of earth [KK029-041002-] called St. Brendan’s Hermitage’. The precise location of the smaller circle, possible a hut site, and the mound is unknown.
