The National Monuments Service's description

Surrounded by tillage and pasture. Indicated as a roughly rectangular area on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map, with a townland/parish boundary kinking eastward to avoid it. On the 1900-01 revision a small field is indicated at the location. Based on this cartographic evidence, Barry (1977, 190), stated that the enclosure has been, 'Removed between 1839 and 1900'. However, the enclosure is visible at ground level as a slightly raised area (max dims. c. 30m by 32m), defined by a field boundary to the SE and SW. There are faint traces of an external fosse. It is overgrown with trees and scrub.
