The National Monuments Service's description

In rough pasture. According to the OS Letters (1839), 'there is a well called Tobar Eibhlinne said to be holy (though its name does not sound very holy); its name is locally pronounced Tober Eileen' (O'Flanagan 1930, vol. 2, 10 (4)). When visited in 1989 it was visible as a dried up rough hole in ground.
