The National Monuments Service's description

A large building, likely to be a house, is indicated on the Down Survey (1655-6) barony map of Kells, Co. Kilkenny SW of the Augustinian Priory (KK027-029004-) and of the glebe land S of the Priory (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin). The house is also indicated on the Down Survey composite maps (Farrelly et al. 1993, 175). The precise location of this house is unknown.
