The National Monuments Service's description
This road gave access to and from the Augustinian Priory at Kells (KK027-029004-). It ran from the present public road to the fortified entrance in the E wall of the outer court and from an entrance in the W wall of the same court towards the motte (KK027-029001-) at Kells (pers. comm. Con Manning, February 1993; Farrelly et al. 1993, 173).
