The National Monuments Service's description

Surrounded by tillage and pasture. Indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map as an oval enclosure (dims. c. 40m NW-SE; c. 30m NE-SW) with a townland boundary running NE-SW just beyond the N edge, the boundary appears to kink out to respect the monument. On the 1900 revision and 25-inch OS map the enclosure is similarly indicated, though with more straight sides and a field boundary is indicated running NW-SE just beyond the W side. On satellite imagery (Google Earth imagery date 25 April 2021) the enclosure appears to be quite overgrown with trees and scrub, particularly around the perimeter.
