The National Monuments Service's description
According to O'Kelly (1969, 88) there is a tradition that Drumroe Castle (KK025-022001-) was 'erected on a rath'. On the 1st (1839) ed. OS map there is a roughly circular ring of trees (diam. c. 30m) enclosing the castle. Satellite imagery only shows the castle, with no indication of an outer enclosing element.
