The National Monuments Service's description

Describing the 'ancient' church of Powerstown, Robertson (1872-3, 256-7), mentions that, 'on entering the Church, we find the basin of a splendid early English font...The font is fluted and closely resembles those at St. Canice's Cathedral and St. Mary's Church'. This font was moved to St George’s Church, Goresbridge, previously known as St Mary’s Church, which lies 3.1km to the NNE (see KK021-055----) (Grattan-Bellew 1979, 45).
