The National Monuments Service's description

Though not indicated on the Down Survey (1655-6) maps, the terrier accompanying the parish map of Killerney (NLI MS720) describes, ‘at Bennettsbridge…one good stone house built by Collonell Daniell Axtell’. ‘S[i]r Edw[ard] Blanchvill’ is listed as the proprietor of Bennettsbridge in 1640 (ibid.).
The precise location of the house in Bennettsbridge townland is unknown.
