The National Monuments Service's description

A castle is indicated in the S portion of Bishopslough townland on the Down Survey (1655-6) barony map of ‘Gowran’ and on the parish map of Tullohedin (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin). This S portion of the 17th-century townland subsequently became a separate townland called Bishopslough South. The precise location of this castle within the townland is unknown.
