The National Monuments Service's description
Lying in the chancel of the medieval church (KK024-062001-) of Tullaherin, close to the E end of the S wall. Another graveslab (KK024-062012-) lies immediately W of this slab and there are two fragments of two other 13th/14th-century graveslabs (KK024-062010-; KK024-062011-) within the church. A long tapering, recumbent limestone graveslab (L 1.95m; T 0.18m; Wth 0.6m at top; Wth 0.35m at base) with a raised border (Wth 0.03m) around the surface of the slab. The chamfered sides (Wth 0.08m) of the slab are dressed with diagonal tooling. It is decorated in raised relief with a plain four-armed cross with fleur-de-lys terminals and a long shaft which terminates in a fleur-de-lys. Immediately below the cross-head there is a knop, and from the cross-shaft beneath this spring to foliate sprigs, one on either side. An inscription is inscribed along the dexter side of the slab, between the cross shaft and the raised boarder. Though worn it is partially legible and appears to be, ‘-----oechain –olerd’, incised in Irish in Old Irish lettering, though it may be Norman-French in Lombardic script. Stylistically this slab dates to the 13th/14th century.
