In a clearing within a forested area which was planted c. 2000 as seen on an aerial photograph (ASIAP (114) 17-18, 22 July 2000). Indicated as a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 50m) on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and 1899-1902 revision.
