The National Monuments Service's description
In the middle of a cornfield on a gentle NE-facing slope. Excavated in 2007 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3543). A small hearth with possible windbreaks to the N and S each represented by three post/stake-holes. A small spread and a modern pit were also recorded. A sample of ash charcoal from the hearth fill returned a radiocarbon date of cal AD 1520-1950 (UBA-12187). (Devine 2010, 237, no. 895; Devine and Coughlan 2013)
