The National Monuments Service's description

Commins (1905, 266) records that, ‘Colonel Warden also obtained, at the same time, a grant of the lands of William FitzGerald who probably lived at Graigue, a short distance from Burnchurch where there are some remains of ancient buildings’. The location of these ‘ancient buildings’ within Graigue Lower or Graigue Upper townlands, which are located immediately E of Burnchurch townland, is unknown.
