The National Monuments Service's description
Within the graveyard (KK023-072002-) associated with the medieval church of Burnchurch (KK023-072001-). A tapering graveslab (H 0.59m above ground; Wth at base of slab 0.23m; Wth at ground level 0.31m; T 0.12m), only the lower portion of which is visible as it has been placed upright in the ground upside down where it is being reused as a headstone. It is decorated with an incised cross, only the shaft and the base of which are visible. The cross-base terminates in a fleur-de-lys, above which is a horizontal rectangular knop. Stylistically this graveslab dates to the 13th/14th century.
