The National Monuments Service's description

Within the graveyard (KK023-072002-) associated with the medieval church of Burnchurch (KK023-072001-). A tapering sandstone graveslab (H 0.45m above ground; top Wth 0.46m, T 0.1m) only the upper portion of which is visible as it has been positioned upright in the graveyard where it is reused as a headstone. It is decorated with a deeply incised four-armed lozenge-shaped cross-head with fleur-de-lys terminals. The upper edge of the slab is chamfered (Wth 0.05m).
