The National Monuments Service's description

On level ground. A roughly oval enclosure (max. diam. c. 45m) indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map, the W side, running NW-SE is depicted as being straight, and the monument is contained within a small roughly triangular-shaped field. On the 1947 revision OS 6-inch map the field boundaries to the E and S have been removed and the W field boundary, running NW-SE, transects the W sector. The monument was inspected in March 1957 when it was densely overgrown with thorny scrub (OPW Correspondence, 25 March 1957). The interior (int. diam. 32m N-S; 39.6m E-W) was enclosed by a collapsed dry stone wall (Wth 3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.06m) and outer fosse (Wth 3.65m; D 0.76m) (ibid.). By August 1957 the monument had been levelled (OPW Correspondence, 16 August 1957). Aerial photographs (CUCAP AYK062, 9 July 1969; BDI039, 14 July 1970; BGG011 and BGG012, 16 July 1971) show the enclosure as a cropmark with a wide deep fosse and a small circular cropmark, probably a hut site (KK023-048002-) in the W quadrant of the interior.
