The National Monuments Service's description
A roughly square enclosure (dims. c. 30m NE-SW and NW-SE) is indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map with a well c. 20m to the NE and a small pond c. 30m to the N. On the 1947 revision of the OS 6-inch map the enclosure is indicated as circular (diam. 30m) with a field boundary running N from the NNW sector and SSE from the SSW sector. The enclosure was levelled c. 1984, however, the outline of the fosse is visible on satellite imagery (OPW Correspondence, 2 February 1984; Digitalglobe satellite imagery, viewed 26 July 2021).
