The National Monuments Service's description
Hogan (1880-83, 48) records that '… Joseph Cuffe is buried in the church of Inchihologhan (KK023-003001-), and his memory is there perpetuated by a very elaborately finished mural entablature of white marble, erected in the north wall of the chancel, which bears the following incised inscription: Sacred to the Pious Memory of / Joseph Cuffe, of Castleinch, Esq., / who died on Christmas Morning, / between 9 and 10 o'Clock, in the / Year of our Lord 1697, and in the / 58 Year of his Age.' Listed in the SMR (1987) and RMP (1996) as 'Inscribed stone'.
