In a shallow depression. Excavated in 2007/8 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3913, Area C). A possible structure (L c. 4m; Wth 2m), subrectangular in shape and best preserved at N, formed by 18 post/slot-holes, aligned E-W with a possible entrance at E and a small annexe also at the E end. There were two internal pits, one of which (L 1m; Wth 0.82m; D 0.4m) was interpreted as a possible trough. A possible hearth was identified c. 2m to the E. A sample from the structure (which was interpreted as a possible sweathouse) returned a radiocarbon date of 1412-1269 cal BC (UBA-12225). A number of irregular features external to the structure were deemed to be associated although their function is unclear. Charcoal from one of two pits c. 12m to the SW returned a date of 1426-1297 cal BC (UBA-12224). A spread of burnt material sealed the structure and post-dated it. A burnt spread (KK020-107----) and a possible fulacht fia (KK020-106----) were excavated 24m and 42m to the SE respectively. (Coughlan 2010, 245, 921; Coughlan and Bailey 2011)
