The National Monuments Service's description
On the NW side of a hillock, in undulating terrain. On the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map a small crescent-shaped gravel pit is indicated at the base of the enclosure from S to NW. On the 1900 revision the quarry been enlarged, running from the SE to the NNE sector, curving externally. A roughly circular flat area (diam. 34m E-W) enclosed by a gravelly bank. The interior slopes slightly from WSW-ENE. There is a boulder-lined entrance (Wth 3m) in the E sector. The bank is slightly defaced on the E side.
