The National Monuments Service's description
NE of Clifden Castle tower house (KK020-037001-) and within a farmyard S of Clifden House. A ruined two-storey rectangular structure (dims. c. 14m E-W; c. 7m N-S) constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble. Presently comprising the NW corner, to full height, surmounted by a chimney stack with a string course. The visible remains suggest a possible 17th-century date for this ruinous house.
