The National Monuments Service's description
On the E side of a stream in an area of marshland and c. 110m SW of the castle (KK020-022001-) with which it is associated. The ‘Castle Well’ is a natural spring in a muddy hollow hugging the E bank of a fast-flowing stream. It is heavily overgrown with gorse and brambles and there is no evidence that it was stone-lined.
