The National Monuments Service's description
Human remains discovered during quarrying in a sandpit in 1960. The remains of a number of individuals were uncovered at a depth of 0.3m. At least one burial was extended and oriented E-W. According to local information the area was a burial place attached to a workhouse in the 19th century. (Cahill and Sikora 2011, vol. 2, 486)
