The National Monuments Service's description
Formerly situated on a small mound (diam. c. 3m; H 0.3m) c. 80m SE of Clone church (WX015-023001--), Co. Wexford. Currently in the OPW store, Kilkenny (Kilkenny depot stone carving number: KD047). An irregular sandstone slab (L 1.02m; Wth 0.35m; T 0.26cm) which tapers towards the base (see WX015-023012-). The broad face on one side is incised with a cross-of-arcs within a circle (diam. 0.29m). The top of the stone is damaged, with a portion missing, and some spalling extends from the top onto the upper portion of the cross. There is also a crack running roughly vertically down the dexter side of the cross face.
The cross slab was drawn by Du Noyer (1864-6, 443; Royal Irish Academy: Du Noyer Sketches VII/50) when it was located on the mound. The cross was then facing west.
