The National Monuments Service's description

In the OPW store, Kilkenny (Kilkenny depot stone carving number: KD038). A sandstone window jamb (H 0.29m; Wth 0.185m) with a chamfered edge (Wth 0.1m), with bar-hole (0.033m x 0.027m) in the chamfer and traces of mortar in the bar-hole. On one surface there is a roughly circular depression (diam. 0.11m top tapering to 0.083m at base; D 0.025m) with a narrow channel (L 0.14m; Wth 0.02m; D 0.02m) running off it to the edge of the stone.
