The National Monuments Service's description

At St Mary's parish church (KK019-026115-) in Kilkenny. A 13th/14th-century coffin-shaped graveslab made from fossiliferous limestone. It is decorated with an incised simple-floriated four-armed cross with fleur-de-lis terminals rising from a cross-shaft interrupted by a two-armed fleur-de-lis below the cross-head (L 0.87m; Wth 0.33m) (Drisceoil 2006, 34; Ó Drisceoil et al 2005, vol. 1, 12). Diagonal tooling evident. The base is truncated. Latin Lombardic inscription on right and left of shaft:
(right) HIC IACET ALLIUS I---- (left) PATERNOS
Translation:
Here lies Allius I ...

The slab was set into the floor of the Monuments Room in the 1960s and was moved to its present location in the S transept 2015.
