The National Monuments Service's description
Fragment of wall of possible early medieval building uncovered beneath the W wall of the N transept of St Canice's Cathedral (KK019-026029-) (Ó Drisceoil 2013, 38). The limestone rubble wall (L > 8.8m x D > 1m) was truncated by the massive foundations for the early 13th-century NW buttress of the N transept and had been reused as a foundation for the W wall of the transept. Wall remains in situ.
