The National Monuments Service's description
Three houses are depicted in ‘Currokeho’ townland On the Down Survey (1655-6) barony map of Crannagh (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin). The terrier accompanying the Down Survey (1655-6) parish map of Ballycallan describes, 'some Houses’ in the townland and lists the ‘Earle of Ormond Del[inquint]’ as the proprietor in 1640 (ibid.). O'Kelly (1969, 7), describes, 'the ground of four old houses in a field called the Garraithe, gardens'. The houses are listed separately in the SMR as KK018-086001- to KK018-086004-. The precise location of these houses is unknown.
