The National Monuments Service's description

On the Down Survey (1655-6) barony map of Crannagh, three houses are depicted in ‘Currokeho’ townland (Hibernia Regnum, courtesy of Trinity College Dublin). There are no houses depicted on the Down Survey (1655-6) parish map of Ballycallan, but the accompanying terrier, which lists ‘Corrokeho’ as forfeited lands, describes, ‘at Currokehoe a Church and some Houses’ and lists the ‘Earle of Ormond Del[inquint]’ as the proprietor in 1640 (ibid.). O'Kelly (1969, 7), describes, 'the ground of four old houses in a field called the Garraithe, gardens'. The houses are listed separately in the SMR as KK018-086001- to KK018-086004- and the church as KK018-106----. The precise location of these houses is unknown.
