The National Monuments Service's description

Associated with the medieval church (KK018-072001-) of Ballycallan and situated at the SE end of the graveyard (KK018-072002-) close to the E boundary wall. It is planted upright in the ground (exposed L 0.8m; Wth 0.4m at ground level, broadening out to 0.45m at its upper end; T 0.15m) and tilts towards the E. The E face is decorated with a cross with fleur-de-lis terminals and is incised with a Lombardic inscription which Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 442) transcribes as, 'HIC JACT (sic) SARRAMOYNATH' and translates as, 'Here lies Sarah Moynath'. It is one of four taping graveslabs (KK018-072004-; KK018-072005-; KK018-072006-; KK018-072007-) in the graveyard noted by Carrigan (ibid.) which appear to date from the 13th/14th century.
