The National Monuments Service's description
A trapezoidal-shaped enclosure (dims. c. 50m NE-SW; c. 64m NW-SE on the NE side tapering to c. 53m on the SW side) indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and on the 1900 revision. When the monument was levelled in 1959 a stone hone was found (Barry 1977, 186). According to the landowner it consisted of a flat platform defined by a bank (H 1m; Wth 2m) and external waterlogged fosse (Wth 2.5m; D c. 1m) (ibid.). This enclosure lies c. 20m NE of a large circular enclosure (KK018-048----) which has also been levelled. The relationship between the monuments is unclear, though physically associated they may not be contemporary, or the trapezoidal enclosure, classified as a moated site by Barry (1977, 186), may have functioned as a bailey for the adjacent enclosure, in which case a ringwork and bailey classification would be more appropriate. Though levelled, the remains of the monument are visible on satellite imagery (Digitalglobe, viewed 7 July 2020) and it appears that the circular enclosure has a further outer bank and fosse which abuts the trapezoidal enclosure.
