The National Monuments Service's description
According to O'Kelly (1985, 28) in Boggan townland, 'there is a fort or moat overlooking the Munster River'. O'Kelly may be referring to an oval enclosure (KK017-014----), possibly a tree-ring towards the S portion of the townland which may have been identified as a 'fort' from the OS 6-inch map. Otherwise the location of this 'fort' is unknown.
