The National Monuments Service's description

On a gentle E-facing slope in flat pasture. Excavated in 2007/8 in advance of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road improvement scheme (Licence no. E3858). A central cremation pit within a double ring-ditch with two possible cremation pits to the S of the ring-ditch. The external ring-ditch (diam. 12m; D 1.04m) had sloping sides and a concave base and was filled with material that was probably from an adjacent fulacht fia (KK016-022----). The inner ring-ditch (diam. 5.6m; D 0.2m) was situated centrally and also contained heat-shattered stones. The pit located roughly in the centre had burnt bone inclusions in its primary fill, laid down over several sub-angular stones. The two pits to the S also contained burnt bone inclusions. (Wiersbicki 2009; 2010, 251-2, no. 954)
