The National Monuments Service's description
On a slight bluff on the W side, and a little below, the crest of a ridge. To the E there is a very steep drop into a small stream gorge, and then a more gentle slope down to a rolling plain. Most of the land along the top of the ridge has been reclaimed. There are good views in all directions. It is depicted on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped enclosure (dims. c. 33m NW-SE; c. 19m NE-SW) with a steep slope from S-NW. There is no visible trace of this monument at ground level. Much of the bluff has been removed as a result of gravel extraction, as is evidenced by a number of small gravel pits.
