The National Monuments Service's description
On brow of N end of small but steep-sided hill, overlooking rolling grassland in all directions. The view is good in all directions. Described by Doyle (1981) as being, 'built so that on three sides the ground falls away from the embankment of the rath. The entrance to the rath is on the south-east. It is thirty yards [c. 27m] from the entrance to the opposite side, and about twenty-eight yards [c. 25.6m] on the cross'. The monument had been levelled by 1987 with no visible trace at ground level.
