The National Monuments Service's description

On an E-facing slope in reclaimed arable land. Listed in the SMR (1987) as ‘Enclosure’ and in the RMP (1996) as ‘Enclosure Site’. The monument is in the middle of the field and has been left untouched by reclamation, due to superstition. On inspection in July 1987 this was found to be a large ring-barrow (overall diam. 18m) comprising a platform (diam. 11m; H above fosse 0.2m) a fosse (D 0.4m below outer bank) and an outer bank (Wth 1.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.4m). The bank is best preserved at W due to soil creep which may also have affected the bank at E. Locally known as a ‘rath’. Visible on the 1st edition OS 6-inch map as a small circular hachured feature. Erroneously added to the record as a separate monument (KK015-074----).
