The National Monuments Service's description
A roughly triangular flat area of high ground defined by the River Nore on the W side and by a stream and marshy ground along the E and S side, under grass. Aerial photograph (GB89.V.03, 13 July 1989) shows cropmark of a curvilinear fosse delineating the N side of the promontory fort (dims. c. 255m N-S; c. 216m E-W at the N side, tapering to c. 22m at the S point). Portion of the fosse is also visible on an aerial photograph from 1970 (CUCAP BDI018, 14 July 1970).
