The National Monuments Service's description
On a gentle S-facing slope in undulating grassland E of the Nore and Dinin rivers and S of the Castlecomer Plateau. There are fair views in all directions. Indicated on the 1946-7 revision of the OS 6-inch map as a sub-square enclosure (dims. c. 57m NE-SW) with roughly straight sides and rounded corners and an outer fosse from NW-N-NNE. A quarry with lime-kilns is indicated adjacent to the NW sector of the enclosure. When visited in 1987 the monument had been levelled and was not visible at ground level. It is visible as cropmark on an aerial photograph (GB89.V.03, 13 July 1989) and on satellite imagery (Google Earth, 13 August 2015).
