The National Monuments Service's description
On the crest and NE side of a broad gravel ridge (H 7-8m), running NW-SE, on the floor of the river valley. The ridge has been quarried along the SW side. The River Nore lies c. 440m to the W and the confluence of this river with the Dinin river is c. 660m to the NW. There are commanding views in all directions.
A roughly oval enclosure (overall dims. c. 80m NW-SE; c. 65m NW-SE), identified as a cropmark on aerial photographs (CUCAP ASW040, 17 July 1967; AVO094, 17 July 1968; BOD026, 10 July 1973) consisting of two widely spaced fosses. The inner enclosure (dims. c. 40m NW-SE; c. 30m NE-SW) is defined by a wide fosse, berm (Wth c. 12-15m) and outer fosse. The monument is not visible at ground level.
