The National Monuments Service's description
On the S slopes overlooking the Nuenna river valley, ground sloping steeply to N immediately N of the monument, in poor, marginal land. It is indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map as an oval enclosure (dims. c. 40m NE-SW; c. 33m NW-SE) partially truncated in the NE quadrant by a road which appears to kink around the enclosure. The enclosure was levelled in the 1960s but archaeological investigations in 2005 revealed the bank and fosse, as well as an internal structure (Ó Drisceoil 2008, 194-5 (794)).
