The National Monuments Service's description
Following a description of 'Brae-ag-ogue' well (KK012-059004-), Carrigan (1905, vol. 2, 372) describes another well, '"Lady Well"', which, 'is about half a mile away, on the slope of Shragh hill, but the tradition of its having ever been holy, is lost'. On the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and the subsequent 1900 revision there is a well indicated on the lower NE-facing slope of Shragh Hill, which is c. 900m or just over half a mile SE of 'Brae-ag-ogue' well. It is probable that this is the well referred to by Carrigan.
