The National Monuments Service's description
On a N-facing slope in rolling grassland. Indicated as a rectangular enclosure on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and on the 1900 revision as an unenclosed rectangular area, orientated NE-SW, with sides widening towards the SW. The enclosure is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (ASIAP (110) 18-19, 22 July 2000) and on satellite imagery (Digitalglobe, viewed 12 June 2019) as a rectangular area (dims. 26m NNW-SSE; 22m ESE-WNW) defined by a fosse. It is not visible at ground level.
