The National Monuments Service's description

At the base of a slope, falling gently to a terrace above the flood plain to S of Clomantagh hill, in pasture. There are good views to the N and S and fair to the E and W. An oval area (max. dims. 32m N-S; 24m E-W) enclosed by a low wide earthen bank (Wth at crest c. 1m; overall Wth 4m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.25m) and wide fosse (Wth c. 2m; D 0.5m). There are large amounts of stone in the bank composition. There is a steep ramp entrance (Wth 1.5m) at E, though this is likely to be modern. The interior is irregularly pitted, probably due to uprooting trees. On the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map a field boundary is shown running E-W across the S sector of the ringfort. On the 1900 revision the field bank S of this field boundary is no longer depicted, it appears to have been levelled between 1839 and 1900.
