The National Monuments Service's description

On the SW bank of the River Dinin. A long cist exposed c. 0.3m below ground level in the riverbank in 1949. It was rectangular in plan (L 1.5m; Wth 0.53m; D 0.61m) aligned N-S. One slab set on edge formed each of the sides. The capstone (c. L 1.5m; Wth 0.9m; T 0.13m) lay on a number of stones laid flat on top of the side stones. The floor was paved with flat slabs (c. 0.3m x 0.3m). The cist had been dug out before it was investigated by the National Museum and no artefacts remained although a ‘decorated stone’ was mentioned in a memo. Fragments of cremated bone found around the cist were found to represent the remains of one adult male. (Cahill and Sikora 2011, vol. 2, 247-51, 321)
