The National Monuments Service's description
According to O'Kelly (1969, 30) in Knockroe there is, 'a rath in the middle of the townland'. There is no ringfort indicated on the 1st (1839) OS 6-inch map or on the 1947 revision. The located of the 'rath' is unknown within the townland.
