The National Monuments Service's description
On the W edge of a broad flat-topped hill in uplands of E side of the Nore river valley, in rough pasture with woodland and scrub to the W. The view is extensive S-W-N across the broad river valley and good NE-E of hills. There is a ringfort (KK010-033----) 180m to the NW and an enclosure (KK010-035----) c. 170m to the ENE. A large oval enclosure (dims. c. 60m N-S; c. 52m E-W) defined by a broad low bank (Wth at crest 1.8m; overall Wth 3.9m; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 0.9m) and shallow fosse (Wth 2.1m; D 0.2m). The W side of the interior slopes gradually downwards with the natural slope. Grass grows in the interior, though scrub, gorse and brambles occupy an area in the interior from the centre to the S, with gorse bushes in the NE quadrant and a large clump of brambles in the NW quadrant. Trees and scrub also grow around the perimeter and there are two small stands of conifers, one in the N quadrant on the bank and one on and just inside the bank in the SE quadrant. There is an entrance (Wth 2.8m) in the E quadrant, the remains of rotting wooden gate posts on either side show that it was a relatively recent entrance, though probably reusing the original entrance.
